Be sure to return the field trip permission slip to the Midway and money as noted in the forms sent home today with students.  Thank you for your prompt response.

I introduced my students to the  IXL math interactive website.  Each child was given an account and should begin logging into their IXL math account for at least 30 minutes per week from now until the end of the year.  This is a great website to practice, review and enrich in the area of mathematics.  Have fun exploring this great learning tool.

Welcome back and happy New Year!  Let’s hit the ground running and focus on responsibility and accountability.  “The future depends on what we do in the present!  There is no time like the present!”

We will finish our novel study this week.  Students need to make sure their ENITRE Literature Response Journal is complete by Friday of this week. (PQOC, story map, character maps, Reading Comprehension Questions, Vocabulary Maps, and Illustrations)

Report Cards will be sent home this Friday, December 3rd with students in an envelope.  Please review the contents of the report card with your child.  I appreciate your support at home with your child’s education!  Have a great week.

Thursday, October 13th we will have a field experience day at the aquarium in La Jolla.  Students will have a hands-on experience dissecting squid and exploring the aquarium!   Be sure to send your child with a sack lunch.

Tuesday: “Hats off to good choices” so wear your favorite Hat

Wednesday: Wear RED today!

Thursday: Deadline for Red Ribbon Week poster contest entries, “Healthy Me, Healthy Way to Be!”-This contest is optional

Friday: “Team up Against Drugs” so wear your favorite Team Jersey.

Please come enjoy yourself with family and friends this Saturday, October 1st at LCH form 2:00 – 5:00pm.  There will be carnival games and prizes, raffles, shopping, food vendors, dj and dancing, cake decorating and more!  Looking forward to seeing you all there this Saturday!

Please note that I have uploaded under the FYI section the September Conference Schedule and the Pre-Conference Form that I would like filled out prior to your child scheduled conference time.  I will send home a hard copy of these two documents on Tuesday, September 6th.  Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
